Flower Markets of Paris

For lovers of pretty petals, springtime in Paris is quite marvelous. Peonies and garden roses, arguably the most divine flowers on the planet, are in each little flower shop and growing all throughout the public gardens. So naturally, the jardins have been the focus of our first few days in Paris. After seeing the lush gardens in Giverny and the opulent rose gardens at the Musée Rodin (pictures coming later this week), we took a stroll through the flower market on our way home, and couldn’t resist picking up some lush white and deep pink peonies.

We went to the market at Place Louis Lépine, and also popped into the tiny floral boutiques which are all over the city. Some other popular flower markets include the Place de la Madeleine
and the Place des Ternes. Also, you can get fresh flowers at the Organic Raspail Market on Sundays.
